Cath has written, recorded
and performed in the bands Gay Animals, later Glass Animals, and Miaow,
before signing as a solo artist to Factory
Records for her debut album England Made
Me. She also records with English-popsters The
Hit Parade. Cath has extensive writing experience, having written
for the New Musical Express, SF
Weekly, Salon and Time Out New York, amongst others. She has also written
a number of music biographies including the Fleetwood Mac analysis,
Never Break The Chain, which discussed
the making of the mega-album, Rumours.
Whether on stage performing,
behind the board mixing or in the studio recording, Kerry has worked
with a wide range of artists, from classic acts such as The
Drifters and Mick Taylor to singer-songwriters such as Robbie
Fulks, Scott Benson, John Doe and Michael McDermott to Chicago bands
such as The Wildroots
, Eleventh Dream Day, Smashing Pumpkins and Urban
Twang. He has composed music for filmmakers, choreographers and
content providers in both North America and Europe. With innumerable
studio and live credits working in the field of indie, rock and jazz,
Kerry also brings over twenty five years of teaching experience in music
and film related fields for Columbia
College's School Of Media Arts in post-production for the Department
of Film & Video where he is currently teaching Filmsound, Music
For Film & Video and Visual Audio.
Together, Cath and Kerry
run Lilypad Records from Rancho Lilypad
located in the rural fringe of the Chicago metro area. They completed
their latest song-cycle with the release of It
All Looks Good On You February 16, 2010. They are also releasing
music by artists WorldWideRiot, Hollus,
Miaow, Young Jackies, Capo
5 Four and more to come.
